Scientists at London’s Natural History Museum have discovered this spookily-coloured creature just in time for Halloween.
The insect has a series of markings on its back that could be said to resemble Count Dracula's face.
However this kind of Dracula sucks plant sap, rather than human blood.
The bug, a type of leafhopper, was found in the museum's wildlife garden. It was first spotted by museum volunteers Cagla Stevenson and Ashleigh Whiffin.
Dr Erica McAlister, fly curator at the museum, said: "The fact this looks like a vampire's face really took us by surprise.
"It's odd to see this spooky little face staring back at you. Leafhopper markings vary a lot, but I've never seen markings in this shape, and all the more appropriate with Halloween coming up.
"This bug is still young and its pattern will darken and blend in as it matures."
